South Texas Bobcat
This cat entered the sendero 200 yards distant, was coaxed in a few steps at a time via electronic caller, and taken at fifty yards. Ten minutes elapsed from time of sighting until harvest. These curious but cautious cats move slowly, from bush to bush. Moments ealier, a much bigger cat had crossed the sendero 100 yards out. Notice the superb markings of this cat -- dark black spots contrast on bright white.

Coyote Double
Called in a triple, two went down, one lost fur. When multiples respond, take furthest dog first, next furthest second, and so on. Harvested south of Artesia Wells in early November using Remington .22-250 and Johnny Stewart Wildlife Caller.

LaSalle County Cat
This nice LaSalle County male was taken in 1995 at 10-12 yards with an electronic caller and Savage .222. After hit, the cat trotted off as nothing had happened. A thorough search of the brush yielded the expired feline eighty yards distant as dusk fell.

Medium Size Male
Taken mid-afternoon, this medium size male responded as bobcats often do -- slowly. After calling thirty minutes we took a break of ten minutes and started to call again. Within seconds the cat broke into an oat patch forty yards distant. Only periods of drought and scarce food supply seems to cause quick response with bobcats.
